The Drifter

In the beginning of the year there was a span of about two weeks where I had no cell phone and essentially no connection to those around me. It was at this point where I felt completely free even though I was still surrounded by the bustle of everyday life. Could you imagine this but with even less, well Rob Machado did exactly this. In the summer of 2008, iconic surfer and former Pipe Master Rob Machado flew to Indonesia to experience a different kind of surf trip. A journey that would take him way beyond his comfort zone, to the point where he could finally be alone with his thoughts, his desires and the empty perfection of an unnamed Indian Ocean reef. What did he discover? You never stop dreaming.

God is not a being but music itself

As time goes by and our days on this planet seem to dwindle down, there is one aspect of our daily life that we cannot live without and this is MUSIC. Music has been a constant stable in people’s lives since the beginning of time, almost to the point that one can say that we were put on this planet just to create something so beautiful that society as a whole can both relate to and enjoy. I remember growing up listening to the music of the 1960s even though I was not born in that decade. My father was the first one to introduce me to music and this was the music that he grew up listening to, so it only makes sense that this was the first music to invade my eardrums and stimulate feelings that I had never felt before.
Today, those same feelings exist but the music that stimulates these feelings is a drastic change from that what my father listened to. Electro/dance music is something that I do not believe I can live without, for without it my life would be less meaningful. Like the music of the 1960s, electro has shaped the way I live my life today. It is ironic for me to think that there are people out there that do not understand the music that I listen to because I believe it is self explanatory. Something that sounds so beautiful to my ears, sounds just like loud noises and random sounds to those that around me. However, you take the same people that don’t understand the music and combine that music with the necessary visual effects and they began to understand. This is true beauty and the true meaning of life.

Rent?

Ok, so i've been living up at my friend's house and paying rent via 3 handles of PO PO V a week. However, as we have found out there are more people around this area that like electro almost as much as we do. So now the rent is looking like turning from alcohol to turning the basement into a full on raging club. The dilemma is will we have to pay the township for an alcohol permit to really legitimize our operation. Either way, I would suggest checking back to see how our project turns out.
