It's obvious that surfing and art have an unspoken bond together but with the advancement of video editing that "unspoken" bond is turning into a quite common conversation piece. I realized this when Kai Neville burst onto the scene combining some of the best surfing with electro music and creative editing. I recently stumbled upon a series of videos that absolutely blew my mind. Chase Burns is one of the best at what he does and what he does is putting together some of the most creative surf videos I have ever seen. The Metamorphosis

One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in his bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug. He lay on his armour-hard back and saw, as he lifted his head up a little, his brown, arched abdomen divided up into rigid bow-like sections. From this height the blanket, just about ready to slide off completely, could hardly stay in place. His numerous legs, pitifully thin in comparison to the rest of his circumference, flickered helplessly before his eyes.

LIFE AFTER DEATH

The Chotch was right, Freedom Fiends did die but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Lets just say that the Freedom Fiends have life once again. All we needed was the much awaited arrival of more electro acts coming to the East Coast to get our blood flowing again. With Webster Hall and Santos Party House staking claim as two of the bigger venues in NYC where people can go to get loose and party, there appears to be no shortage of events for electro heads everywhere to join and embrace the music that we all love. So, look for us at Webster Hall and Santos Party House. And a side note, check back with us for our anticipated launch of Freedom Fiends apparel.
